Weather Balloon Launch
On Friday, May 18, the 4th launch of a high altitude weather balloon from ISM was completed.
The team has been working all year on building the components and learning how to assemble and launch.
Unfortunately, there has been a worldwide shortage of helium for a few months, so the team couldn’t fill the tank before Friday’s launch.
The team did run short in filling, and was able to launch only a lighter payload with a sign and an ISM Huskie plush toy.
The team hopes to fly the video camera and experiment next fall when helium supplies are restored.
