COVID-19 Updates - The International School of Minnesota

Our School

COVID-19 Updates

For 2021-2022, wearing masks will be required in school to ensure students' safety and the safety of all in the ISM community as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. The school has and will continue to monitor and adapt to the coronavirus situation. ISM recently revised its COVID-19 plan, which is available to ISM families on the SABIS® Digital Platform (SDP), the parent portal.

We are committed to ensuring students receive a safe and consistent education. If required to move to remote learning, the school will follow State and/or Federal guidelines. We are fully prepared to transition to online learning or to follow a hybrid format if necessary.

Campus Safety Measures

Minimal Cross Interaction

Students are segmented into groups according to their grade-level and have minimal cross interaction with other groups.

Social Distancing

Students will remain in their classes, with desks 3 feet apart. When possible, teachers will move between classes rather than moving students.

Mask Wearing

Wearing masks is required for all staff and students. Exceptions apply for meal/snack times as well as some modifications for our Early Childhood Education learners.

Cleanliness & Hygiene

We engage in consistent cleaning and disinfection of classrooms and shared spaces. Hand washing and other mindfulness of hygiene are also encouraged.

Separate Entrances

We have two dedicated entrances to support efforts for minimal cross-interaction between grade levels.
