New Athletics and Activities Director Joins ISM
ISM is pleased to welcome Heather Flock as the school’s new Director of Athletics and Activities. In this role Heather will lead athletics and extracurricular activities. Competitive and club athletics, as well as a wide range of activities, add to the vibrant learning community at the school. ISM students are active and engaged — 80% of the student body participates in three or more activities.
“I am thrilled to be a part of the school, the athletics and activities program, and the community. ISM has a rich history of excellence not only in the classroom but also in extracurricular activities,” Heather said. “I am honored to join the pack and show my Husky pride. Go Huskies!”
Before joining ISM, Heather worked with the YMCA in Healthy Living, Youth Sports, and Aquatics programing. She served as Director, Coach, Trainer, and Instructor for all things sports, fitness, and swimming. In those roles she expected student-athletes to maintain high academic standards, compete at their fullest potential, and honor the organization’s core values while displaying good sportsmanship.
Growing up in Ellsworth, Wisconsin, Heather was an honors student and an athlete in Cross Country, Gymnastics, Basketball, and Track and Field. She attended the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse to pursue a master’s degree in Sports Administration while competing in Cross Country and Track at the collegiate level.
