National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society
National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) are national organizations recognizing students for academic achievement, character, service, and leadership. NHS and NJHS are also affiliated with the Minnesota Association of Honor Societies. NHS and NJHS members at The International School participate in community service throughout the year and support all of our students in achieving their academic potential.
International Music Conservatory
Our International Music Conservatory is an extracurricular option available to all students in grades 1-12. Once a week our students have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument from one of our highly accomplished instructors. Enrolling in lessons through our International Music Conservatory allows for top quality individual musical instruction without needing to leave campus. With offerings such as voice, piano, strings, brass, and guitar, our students can learn musical instruments with convenience and comfort. Weekly lessons ensure that your child gains knowledge and skills with their instrument at an effective and confident pace.
Middle School Math League is a great way for students in grades 6-8 to learn additional math topics and apply problem-solving skills. The team competes in five meets with other area Middle School students both as individuals and as a team.
Husky Snow Club
One of ISM’s largest and most popular clubs, the Husky Snow Club, organizes several trips to surrounding ski areas each year. Last year we had just over 100 members who took trips to Afton Alps, Wild Mountain, Trollhaugen, Welch Village, and Spirit Mountain. The Husky Snow Club’s goal is to improve the student experience by promoting skiing and snowboarding within the community. We bring together students and parents with diverse backgrounds, interests, and levels of ski and snowboard experience in a fun and relaxed environment. All students and families at the International School are invited to join.
