Nestled in a beautiful, wooded area in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, ISM is located on 57-acres of land surrounded by walking and biking trails and access to Bryant Lake. The campus features state-of-the-art facilities that provide students with an ideal setting to explore their talents, develop their interests, and discover their dreams.
All of our instructional classrooms are equipped with Interactive Whiteboards to engage students in the learning process. Our newly renovated Science Department includes two well-equipped science laboratories for biochemistry and physics, in addition to a middle school biology lab. We have two computer labs, one in our Early Childhood Education Center and one in the Upper School. Both rooms are equipped with updated technology and equipment and support the instruction of our well-rounded curriculum. One distinctive feature of our school is our SABIS Integrated Testing and Learning® (ITL®) Hall with 60 computers, where students are assessed on a regular basis and can review material learned.
There are two art rooms where students learn to use a variety of mediums for creative expression and discovery. Additionally, our two music rooms provide ample space, and favorable acoustics for instrumental music and vocal instruction. A number of practice rooms are also available for individual lessons as part of our Music Conservatory program. The ISM campus also houses a professional-grade Performing Arts Center, which complements the school’s enriching musical and performing arts curriculum that encourages students to become well-rounded individuals with a wide range of interests and passions.
The school also has outstanding sports facilities to support the physical education and athletics offered at ISM. An indoor gymnasium, a heated pool, and a 3-lane, 400-meter track and field ensure that students have plenty of space to learn about sportsmanship, trust, respect, fair play, leadership, and team spirit, all while having fun! Our older students can also enjoy our newly renovated fitness center, complete with high-quality, and well-maintained equipment along with a great view of the school grounds.
Our Library is a hub of activity and acts as a shared space where students of all ages can come together. With a focus on reading for enjoyment, our collection includes over 22,000 books for our preschool through grade 12 learners. The cozy space provides areas to curl up with a good book, engage in a small group activity, and even quiet areas to study independently. Our preschool through grade 5 students have scheduled weekly visits while middle and high school students can visit as their schedules allow. The ISM library serves all families in our ISM community as families can also check out materials.
Our Cafeteria is a spacious, open dining area where students can chose from a variety of healthy options, even trying cuisine from different cultures. This space also provides a place for students to gather and build community with classmates. With walls of windows, natural light floods the cafeteria while also providing opportunities to view the tree-lined landscape surrounding the school.
Our Early Childhood Education program (Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten) is located in our newly renovated Louisa Procter Early Childhood Education Center. Here, our youngest students learn in a vibrant and safe environment, tailored to meet their developmental needs. This includes imaginative play in their classroom treehouse, hands on discovery in our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) room and physical exploration in the Gross Motor Skills Room.
