ISM Earns AP® Platinum Distinction for Third Consecutive Year
The International School of Minnesota (ISM) has once again been recognized by the College Board, earning Platinum distinction on the 2025 AP® School Honor Roll—the highest level of recognition awarded. ISM has received Platinum distinction every year since the AP® School Honor Roll program was introduced in 2023.
The AP® School Honor Roll recognizes schools that expand access to rigorous, college-level coursework while supporting strong student performance. In 2024, only about 7% of eligible schools nationwide earned Platinum distinction, placing ISM in a select group of high schools across the United States and Canada.
In Minnesota, ISM is one of very few schools selected for Platinum distinction, joining just a small number of peers statewide to achieve this highest level of recognition.
Advanced Placement® courses play a central role in ISM’s Upper School academic program, offering students rigorous learning that builds critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills. These courses are taught by experienced faculty who support students through structured, inquiry-driven instruction and high academic expectations.
2025 AP® Results at ISM
- 100% of seniors took at least one AP® exam
- 100% of seniors scored a three or higher on at least one AP® exam
- 58% of seniors took five or more AP® exams

“Earning Platinum distinction on the AP® School Honor Roll reflects the strength of ISM’s academic program and its commitment to preparing students for success at the university level and beyond,” said Diana Abdel Samad, SABIS® Regional Academic Director. “By providing access to rigorous coursework alongside the support needed to succeed, ISM empowers students to reach their full potential.”
ISM is part of the global SABIS® Network, which includes 50 schools across more than 21 countries. Across the network, 90% of students scored a three or higher on at least one AP® exam, exceeding the global average of 70%.
This recognition reinforces ISM’s broader mission of preparing students for success beyond high school—whether they pursue higher education in the United States or internationally—through rigorous academics, global perspective, and focus on student growth.
