2018 Senior Series - Alejandro Mesa Dame

Meet Alejandro Mesa Dame, ISM senior born in Colombia.  Alejandro has been at ISM for 13 years.  He has been accepted to Cornell University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Michigan, and University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and is waitlisted at Harvard.  Mr. Mesa Dame has committed to Cornell University and will major in Applied Physics.

He picked Cornell because of the academics and the scholars program.  Mr. Mesa Dame has been awarded two scholarships: the National Merit Pfizer Inc. Scholarship and the Meinig Family Cornell National Scholarship.

Alejandro looks forward to experiencing the college courses, outdoor activities in Ithaca, and meeting new people.  He says ISM prepared him for the future by teaching him the skills (testing, leadership, writing, presenting, and problem-solving) necessary for his next adventure as well as its rigorous courses.
