Husky Highlights-August 5
This week at ISM, Summer Camp did some pretty amazing things! Click HERE to see what the kids have been up to!
The older kids swam a mile in the pool on Thursday and continued to perfect their flip turn skills. The younger kids had so much fun being in the water and continuing to learn the basics of swimming.
In art this week, the students made two different pieces. One was their version of Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night and the second was a replica of the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry that sits in the sculpture garden in Minneapolis. Both of these pieces looked phenomenal!
While it was raining some days this week, the kids did not mind! They enjoyed playing big base and all for one in the gym. They loved being able to win against the camp counselors.
In Spanish class this week, the kids learned Zumba and got to dress up in a sombrero and poncho that Sra. Sanchez brought in! The younger kids got to explore a "Spanish Market" that was set up for them and use the new vocabulary they learned to "sell" the items.
